State Coroner-Aussie Drama

A TV drama series about a State Coroner’s Office: the murders, accidents, suicides, fires, drownings, and police deaths; the battles with red tape, the authorities, and organised crime; the initial inquiry, often requiring the Coroner to attend the death or accident scene; followed by the unfolding courtroom appearance of the various parties and their counsel, finally culminating in the coroner’s verdict and recommendations for trial or reform.
State Coroner, Starring Wendy Hughes and Bob Baines, tells of the story of those who conduct society’s vital and absorbing search into the circumstances of unnecessary death. Who died? How and why did they die? Who contributed and, where possible, how might such a tragedy be ever avoided again?
Episode 1- Starting With a Bang
It’s Kate Ferrari’s first day as the State Coroner. She is faced with a bombing, a head-on collision which killed three children, a marriage that has almost fallen to pieces and Trimble, the Deputy Coroner who wants her job.

Episode 2- A Bit of Asthma
Kate investigates the death of an asthmatic 4 year old who died from an unknown cause. A new face joins the team and Trimble is fascinated by a 60-year old corpse that was found in the country.
